Message from the Scientific Committee
Co-Chairs Dr. Ziad Kazzi and Dr. Mousa Alfiaifi
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to MENATOX 2026: The International Conference on Toxicology, Drugs, and Chemical/Radiological Hazards, held in Riyadh from January 26–29, 2026. This year’s program reflects the depth, diversity, and dynamism of our growing global clinical toxicology community.
The meeting opens with a rich selection of preconference workshops, including courses in Advanced Hazmat Life Support (AHLS), Prehospital and Nursing Toxicology Life Support (PNTLS), and Clinical Toxicology for Residents in Training (CTRT), alongside specialized sessions for Poison Center Specialists by the Georgia Poison Center and the NIHR RIGHT4 Clinical Toxicology Research Initiative.
Over the next three days, delegates will engage in keynotes, plenaries, and parallel tracks spanning clinical, environmental, occupational, and disaster toxicology. Highlights include keynote lectures by Prof. Lewis Goldfrank, Prof. Brent Morgan, and Dr. Michael Kosnett, as well as sessions on CBRNE preparedness, poison center operations, toxicosurveillance, clinical toxicology of substance-use disorders, toxicology in special populations, antidote therapies, petrochemical toxicology, and emerging therapies for envenomation and poisoning. The main conference will also include for the first time in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, the Advanced Hazmat Life Support for Radiological Incidents and Terrorism course.
MENATOX 2026 also provides a vital platform for young investigators, with three oral abstract sessions, poster presentations, and awards recognizing excellence in research, service, and training. The meeting concludes with “Stump the Experts”, Clinical Professor Rounds, and our closing ceremony and awards celebration.
We look forward to a week of learning, collaboration, and inspiration as we continue advancing clinical toxicology and strengthening regional and international partnerships.
