It is a challenging time for clinical toxicology in the MENA region: armed conflicts, population displacement and political climates in parts of our region, have amplified the potential impact of chemicals, toxins and radioactive materials on the health of our communities. The World Health Organization has also underlined the importance of mitigating chemical hazards in its most recent road map that lists Sustained Development Goals related to our area of expertise and interest.
